Join us in Melbourne at the most important global meeting dedicated to taxation: the International Fiscal Association Congress.
We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 78th IFA Congress, which will take place in Melbourne, Australia from 18 to 22 October 2026. IFA’s annual congresses provide a unique opportunity to bring together leading tax experts from corporations, governments, academia, and advisors, to discuss and debate topical international tax topics of major importance.
The congress will attract more than 1000 attendees from all over the world. Congress discussions will examine both technical and practical tax matters faced by business, government, the profession and service providers who make the international tax system work. The tax programme will be topical and reflect tax challenges for all regions of the world, including the Asia-Pacific, Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Major topics addressed will include taxation of royalties and intangibles, and taxing the energy transition.
The Congress will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on the Yarra River waterfront in the heart of the city. The venue is walking distance to hotels, entertainment, art, restaurants and cafes in one of the most diverse cities in the world. Attendees and accompanying persons will enjoy memorable social events reflecting the multicultural, creative and harmonious culture of Melbourne.
